i wondering if 160gb hdd in macbook enough. plan on installing windows xp via bootcamp play games (i'm not big gamer) , use software that's not available mac. plan on keeping media (music, photos) on mac side, , maybe external movies may buy. seem enough? i'm used having 120-160gb hdd in windows pc, have 80gb laying around nothing on them. right now, 60gb hdd, have 3gb left in xp , 10gb in os x, nothing installed on xp side. guess i'm little paranoid running out of room. i'd love bigger 160, that's largest seagate makes, , i'd stay them, since haven't had problems @ all. also, if can recommend great enclosure 60gb i'm going pull out, i'd appreciate it. i'd 1 doesn't out of world. subtle, such free agents or wd passports. connection type isn't issue, long plug macbook.   more disk space thing. have 160gb in mbp....

so @ apple store today 1.5 hrs playing new imac , ilife toys. can sure 20'' base model 128mb hd 2400 xt cannot handle fcp! video playback far smooth lots of freezing , stuttering. shocked why apple install fcs on machine if can't handle it. rebooted , closed unecessary apps fcp made no improvement. pointed out problem apple employee , told me "might because of low 128mb vram" played 20'' hd 2600 xt , fcp worked flawlessly. other impressions: -upon seeing pics of new imac upon release, @ first impulse "ugh! why black bezel? why?" seeing in person, many have said, might change mind. now. combo of black , aluminum ain't bad @ more sophisticated look. -the keyboard both aesthetically , functionally awesome. typing requires less force on over old-style apple external kb. -i don't know why many of keep whinning how white on kb doesn't match new imac. don't think it's bad have made i...

this i've wanted know quite time. powerbook 15" running 10.3.1 bought several years ago, through macbook running 10.4.10 use - i've consistently noticed pages flash content cause fans run fast , cpu temp spike dramatically. what's strange same, identical pages when viewed on pc don't seem produce same effect i.e. pc's temperature/fans remain @ normal levels. , what's stranger not flash content seems produce effect on macs, sites... what's happening here?? flash not implemented on macs (i.e. adobe's fault?), or problem safari's webkit/mac architecture? if safari culprit, know if fixed in safari 3.0?   yeah, there have been number of threads before. off way flash macs works. it's seemed me flash behavior of ibook g4 / 800 expected, flash seems burden windows pcs less macs. no 1 has come super satisfactory answer. *tsk tsk* shame, macromedia...

hey. recently, got hands on 3 boxed sets of software: original hypercard, system 5.0, , system 6.0. think of items in these boxes have been removed, , things have been added, seem complete. did find manuals , docs didn't came sets originally, , few letters apple customers. interesting thing, me, found in these boxes small pamphlet, made of 1 piece of folded on 17x11 paperboard, entitled "macintosh quick reference card." found in system 5.0 box, , has 1987 copyright on it, i'm assuming came software. first interior page, posting below, shows of basic , more advanced keyboard shortcuts can use on system 5 mac. interestingly, shortcuts on page, except numbers 5 , 6 in "managing windows" section, work on ibook under 10.4. numbers 5 , 6 seem classic-only, , i'd imagine work os 9. learned little reading card. know, of guys , gals know of this, in off chance don't, maybe can learn thing or two. see no reason post second...
