Help printing to a Dell A940

i know there no drivers out there printer. i've scowered web in hopes of might work soemwhat confused. know dell printers made lexmark, lexmark driver work dell printer???

lexmark driver work dell printer?

have tried using dell generic postscript printer no luck. dell it's connected shows print dialogue , finishes, yet nothing prints. know absolutely nothing cups or gimp drivers whatever appreciated!!!
