Buying a MBP in Montreal (store? online?)

first message here, hello everybody. i'll try not ramble much...

i'm newcomer mac, mbp gonna first apple!

i'm moving canada next 1st september. i'm not there yet.

saw there long waits a mbp via apple.ca. have questions, cause i'd mbp possible:

1) right how long average time mbp apple.ca?
2) thing i'm gonna find mbp (i want low entry model 2.2) in shop in montreal?
3) there no official apple shop there, 1 recommend me?
4) how differs return policy of official reseller 1 of apple.ca? mean, if defective screen or things that... apple.ca going place mbp , sending me new one? how whole thing works?
5) can student discount , ipod promo if buy mbp in store in montreal?

right i'm thinking order mbp via apple.ca (as have address in montreal ship). think wiser option?

congrats on moving greatest country on earth. shame had choose montreal instead of real city toronto (jokes, jokes, montreal nice).

first off, there official apple store ouside of montreal in laval.

should have in stock , shouldn't have problem finding one. there other 3rd party apple retailers there serve though best bet official apple store have stock.

secondly, building storefront flagship apple store on st. catherine street in fall. should pretty amazing street insane.

not sure return policy. buy directly 1 of apple stores in toronto , have yet have issue.

wouldn't ship mbp address until you're there. never know apple - arrive early. ordered small things apple.ca , stuff shows week early. they're pretty that.

good evening , first post =) i'll try start out on right foot , sound half-way intelligent. acquired gimped powerbook g4 1 of our 'daughter' companies. laptop works fine when using a/c adapter. if unplug a/c adapter while power on, screen/keyboard lights go off. however, hard drive still spinning. if plug a/c adapter in, lcd backlight comes on, not display on screen. have hold power button down few seconds power down completely. upon turning on, works fine again. sound battery issue or motherboard problem? have checked battery serial number against recall list , 1 supposably good. in advance!   to me sounds hardware (or possibly software) problem. run permissions repair (using disc utility) , make sure software date (use software update check). fresh install of osx may solve too, had similar problem ibook , sorted it, may motherboard issue; if have hardware test disc, run...

MacBook hang up PLEASE HELP!

ok want macbook. im waiting couple of things. first of leapord of course. secondly when next hardware update going happen because figure must judgeing when last update was. things thats holding me getting 1 graphics card. want light video editing such capturing footage or small sd projects use imac hd , large project editing. light gaming, aoe iii, battlefield games, , wow. can wait while before end of year/ january. when guys think update happen (i know there bunch of speculation already) , if not guys think should go ahead , macbook (after leapord update of course). im not looking absolutly stellar performance in editing , gaming, have desktop that, travel , general use. dont want 1 of people goes "well whats coming should wait that" because in computers never end. im in bit of conundrum, guys think should do?   also if possible can tell me gma 950 card far how video preview works fin...

Apple Script

okay im going lay down problem explian have tried. cool responces. problem have external program saves files path blaa/blaa/movies way in saves these movies compreses movies files 1 file in folder. eg puts different compents folder bundles them delates orginals. problem disc saving doesnt have enough room movies needs store. cant set location of store movies have try route them somewhere. first of when tried making alias folder on different disk program gave me message saying cant save file. thinking of thought make workflow gets items in folder movies them location. tested work flow , worked perfectly. problem getting automated when ever file made in directory. script came , attacheted vie folder actions doesnt work ??? wtf?? help? on adding folder items this_folder after receiving added_items tell application "macintosh hd:users:username:library:workflows:applications:folder actions:moviefile.app" open added_items end...
