Anyone program with a 17" hd mbp?

i'm going starting grad school in computer science , considering 17" high res santa rosa mbp. naturally when programming want screen real estate can get, , need laptop since moving between office, apartment, , labs frequently.

however, programming on 17" high res machine comfortable? can @ text day without straining eyes?

firsthand experience appreciated.
 

it depends on you. not else tells you.

there have been many debates can visit store , @ 15 , 17" models. use 17" model pre-sr , have absolutely no problems reading text.
