Computer Recommendations for Photographer

hey everyone,

had few quick questions on computer suggestions. using pc, time me upgrade , ive decided upgrade , switch on mac.

lot of photography , deal large files. raw files run 7-13mb , if need upsize, files can large 100mb.

need computer able handle large files, , run adobe photoshop cs3 smoothly long periods of time. when start editing , depending on editing, can @ computer hours @ time. using adobe lightroom organization , raw conversions.

system looking @ 20" imac g5. know sure want , need desktop @ least 20" monitor. unsure of if need latest revision out on or possibly rev. b. know rev. b has 2.0ghz processor , core duo, c2d better , faster?

ram going best friend, allow possibility of expansion. last word makes me think might consider mac pro (maybe base model). if have monitor (or two) windows setup, can still use those.

good evening , first post =) i'll try start out on right foot , sound half-way intelligent. acquired gimped powerbook g4 1 of our 'daughter' companies. laptop works fine when using a/c adapter. if unplug a/c adapter while power on, screen/keyboard lights go off. however, hard drive still spinning. if plug a/c adapter in, lcd backlight comes on, not display on screen. have hold power button down few seconds power down completely. upon turning on, works fine again. sound battery issue or motherboard problem? have checked battery serial number against recall list , 1 supposably good. in advance!   to me sounds hardware (or possibly software) problem. run permissions repair (using disc utility) , make sure software date (use software update check). fresh install of osx may solve too, had similar problem ibook , sorted it, may motherboard issue; if have hardware test disc, run...

Apple Script

okay im going lay down problem explian have tried. cool responces. problem have external program saves files path blaa/blaa/movies way in saves these movies compreses movies files 1 file in folder. eg puts different compents folder bundles them delates orginals. problem disc saving doesnt have enough room movies needs store. cant set location of store movies have try route them somewhere. first of when tried making alias folder on different disk program gave me message saying cant save file. thinking of thought make workflow gets items in folder movies them location. tested work flow , worked perfectly. problem getting automated when ever file made in directory. script came , attacheted vie folder actions doesnt work ??? wtf?? help? on adding folder items this_folder after receiving added_items tell application "macintosh hd:users:username:library:workflows:applications:folder actions:moviefile.app" open added_items end...

Koolaid
