i need serious here. last night imac on , power went out. morning when boot stays @ window apple logo , spinning circle. screwed? please i've looked everywhere no avail.

sounds mac can't find boot disk (i.e. hard drive corrupted or (hopefully not) broken).

solution provide mac disk boot off of, , use disk utility repair hard drive.

easiest thing use dvd restore came computer. put in drive , restart, holding down option key. you'll have option boot off dvd , go there.

okay im going lay down problem explian have tried. cool responces. problem have external program saves files path blaa/blaa/movies way in saves these movies compreses movies files 1 file in folder. eg puts different compents folder bundles them delates orginals. problem disc saving doesnt have enough room movies needs store. cant set location of store movies have try route them somewhere. first of when tried making alias folder on different disk program gave me message saying cant save file. thinking of thought make workflow gets items in folder movies them location. tested work flow , worked perfectly. problem getting automated when ever file made in directory. script came , attacheted vie folder actions doesnt work ??? wtf?? help? on adding folder items this_folder after receiving added_items tell application "macintosh hd:users:username:library:workflows:applications:folder actions:moviefile.app" open added_items end...
