Macbook for a Creative Multimedia Student

hey all.

know, i'm ireland if relevant @ :)

wondering if kind folks able aswer few of questions regarding the 2.16ghz, 120gb hd, 1gb ram white macbook.

ok, first off, i'm creative multimedia student , involve photoshopping, video editing amd web design. now, wondering if macbook task of running photoshop , final cut current specs or run @ all?!?

mean, can update ram enough if have updrade that, otherwise, think macbook serve me next few years.

also, i'd use macbook browsing , watching dvd's , stuff abviously let know..

ps: macbook pro out of price range.
pps: macbook more appealing it's screen smaller , more portable.

it depends on whether you're trying run final cut pro or final cut express. fce run fine on mb, , ps, dreamweaver (or whatever you're looking use web development) fly. if you're trying go fcp or suite, you're going need dedicated gpu (video card). mbp or imac may in order. keep in mind if going doing lot of video hard drive (on portable, really) fill fast.

Apple Script

okay im going lay down problem explian have tried. cool responces. problem have external program saves files path blaa/blaa/movies way in saves these movies compreses movies files 1 file in folder. eg puts different compents folder bundles them delates orginals. problem disc saving doesnt have enough room movies needs store. cant set location of store movies have try route them somewhere. first of when tried making alias folder on different disk program gave me message saying cant save file. thinking of thought make workflow gets items in folder movies them location. tested work flow , worked perfectly. problem getting automated when ever file made in directory. script came , attacheted vie folder actions doesnt work ??? wtf?? help? on adding folder items this_folder after receiving added_items tell application "macintosh hd:users:username:library:workflows:applications:folder actions:moviefile.app" open added_items end...
