a learning project

well ive been wanting learn how program while, , been thinking kind of simple sounding app might able make started. keep in mind i'd starting scratch, learning first language , so-on. program idea virtual flashcards. if studying school of w/e can make flashcards on computer , dont have worry writing them out, andthen have them rotate on screen , not. question language should learn , use create that?

 

sounds use hypercard...if decade ago.

i've programmed in basic, pascal, c++, perl, vba, vbscript, php , c# on last 16 years or so. i'm 95% web oriented - don't desktop development. guess perspective, first question if want develop web or desktop in long run, , if you're thinking mac apps mostly/only or possibly working cross-platform.

personally, i'm pretty biased, i'd suggest thinking developing web.
