Logic express 8 + Mac Mini C2D ?

well have seen question thrown @ macbook , , same system right?
heres want :
macmini c2d 2ghz running logic 8 express w/lots of plug-ins ie: waldorf edition ni komplete 4 (sound banks on ex hd of course ) line6 gearbox gold
m-audio fw410 , fw hd record .

sweetwater sales rep told me video card in mini "sucks" , throw hex on whole idea . might have been trying upsell me though .
sweetwater tech told me run audio card , hd of same firewire port no problem , said throw liquid mix in chain ! ?
apple care said .....they had no idea !?! (this not start !)

can done ?
a. video card ? if not ( can alocate more ram sdram)
b. multi channel audio card , hd on same bus ? (if not record usb2 hd or there not enough bandwidth)
c. machine enough power logic 8 + plug ins or dreaming ?
d. side q : built in wifi ? connect at&t wireless dsl without more hardware ?
save time ...no macbook,mb pro ,and imac out of price range,and yes of pc user looking make switch ( using amd x2 3400+ 1 gig of ram ect. = mac mini looks)
, yes running in fear of vista ran pc world !

it's subjective question. yes run. no, there no way predict when top out in performance given whatever mix of instruments, tracks, plugins etc. wanting run.

there fixed cpu budget here -- of taken graphics, , rest has shared out between of apps. if want run flock of ni instruments, may restricted couple of tracks in logic. if want gazillion tracks live, may restricted couple of instruments or effects.

usb2 hard drives bad idea, add cpu load, don;t want do. can run multiple firewire devices off 1 port, there can interactions between interface , drive firewire chipsets, may have experiment.

mini of course worst possible choice pro level audio; slow hard drive, integrated graphics, limited expandability. expect $600?

full load of ram mandatory, external fw hard drive. there nothing can video. (integrated video not killer, sweetwater rep implies, 1 more load on machine's performance)

if looking @ $$ liquid channel, pity sakes spend more money first better computer.

head library , start doing reading -- backissues of sound on sound, keyboard, electronic musician, recording, computer music, future music -- , solid background on subject. sounds have shopping list not clear idea how goes together.

ok want macbook. im waiting couple of things. first of leapord of course. secondly when next hardware update going happen because figure must judgeing when last update was. things thats holding me getting 1 graphics card. want light video editing such capturing footage or small sd projects use imac hd , large project editing. light gaming, aoe iii, battlefield games, , wow. can wait while before end of year/ january. when guys think update happen (i know there bunch of speculation already) , if not guys think should go ahead , macbook (after leapord update of course). im not looking absolutly stellar performance in editing , gaming, have desktop that, travel , general use. dont want 1 of people goes "well whats coming should wait that" because in computers never end. im in bit of conundrum, guys think should do?   also if possible can tell me gma 950 card far how video preview works fin...

Powerbook G4 power issue

good evening , first post =) i'll try start out on right foot , sound half-way intelligent. acquired gimped powerbook g4 1 of our 'daughter' companies. laptop works fine when using a/c adapter. if unplug a/c adapter while power on, screen/keyboard lights go off. however, hard drive still spinning. if plug a/c adapter in, lcd backlight comes on, not display on screen. have hold power button down few seconds power down completely. upon turning on, works fine again. sound battery issue or motherboard problem? have checked battery serial number against recall list , 1 supposably good. in advance!   to me sounds hardware (or possibly software) problem. run permissions repair (using disc utility) , make sure software date (use software update check). fresh install of osx may solve too, had similar problem ibook , sorted it, may motherboard issue; if have hardware test disc, run...

Apple Script

okay im going lay down problem explian have tried. cool responces. problem have external program saves files path blaa/blaa/movies way in saves these movies compreses movies files 1 file in folder. eg puts different compents folder bundles them delates orginals. problem disc saving doesnt have enough room movies needs store. cant set location of store movies have try route them somewhere. first of when tried making alias folder on different disk program gave me message saying cant save file. thinking of thought make workflow gets items in folder movies them location. tested work flow , worked perfectly. problem getting automated when ever file made in directory. script came , attacheted vie folder actions doesnt work ??? wtf?? help? on adding folder items this_folder after receiving added_items tell application "macintosh hd:users:username:library:workflows:applications:folder actions:moviefile.app" open added_items end...
