Do You REALLY Need a Screen Protector for the iPod touch

it's driving me crazy!:eek: dad paranoid , leaving film shipped on till makes 1 , hope 1 in next couple of weeks bday , don't think needs it. remember when got 5g ipod put screen protector on , went crazy, think ruins watching videos. think great of idea?
 

the screen last part on touch ever need additional protection. through normal unprotected pocket use, screen absolutely flawless. mirror on though, :eek:
