Push vs Pull Email?

i have motorola q windows mobile phone. downloaded app off yahoo called yahoo go. when run app can check mail along other things. when clicked options under mail, gave me option turn on push email , turn off pull email , vice-versa.

question whats difference between two, , since app on phone isent running time, 1 of settings cause app running time in turn losing me more battery time?

with push e-mail, sends small, invisible text message device telling pull email, giving appearance of pushing e-mail device automatically. true exchange push mail on windows mobile devices. , yes, text messages count against limit - make sure have unlimited text or bill quite high.
