External HD - No Fan Aluminum Case

alright picked silverstone tech fw aluminum case hd. fan in noisy , emits annoying high pitched hum. have disconnected fan , have been monitoring temperature of case. gets warm @ times no near hot. think solid aluminum casing job getting rid of heat. bad idea? or long it's not crazy hot should ok? im thinking of going electronics store , trying find quieter fan...but in mean time wondering of opinions
 

the best case designs temperature controlled fan , heat sink. fan stays off unless disk gets hit hard.
