Changing Office document icons to iWork
hi everyone,
it's been ages since i've posted here, i've been mac user on year , can safely i'll never go windows-only system, although use xp work , gaming boot camp.
when got computer, tried included trial of iwork '06 , hated it. butchered documents tried import, picked office '04 on ebay , had been using until recently. when iwork '08 came out, tried , instantly impressed improvement , decided switch because of speed increase , lower cost.
uninstalled office using "remove office" app provided, , changed default app office documents iwork equivalents. however, generic document icons displaying in finder now, without pages, numbers , keynote icons superimposed on document icons themselves.
there elusive preference file somewhere that's still pointing nonexistent office app icons? how right icons display?

i able reproduce in doc files not blank pages. not sure if reboot because times fixes icon issues had in past.
nope, reboot didn't me. don't know then. also, have found opening doc files pages, formatting off. i'm sure other way around too. have since changed bunch of doc files on pages default format if i'm going use pages work on document.
