Windows installation freezes at "setup is loading files"

i'm trying install boot camp on new (2007) 20" imac. have copy of windows xp pro sp2 on 1 cd. i'm running boot camp 1.4. have done software updates, , there no firmware updates new imacs yet. launch boot camp assistant, reboots machine, , top of screen:
windows setup

bottom of screen:
setup loading files (ieee 1394 bus ohci compliant port driver)....

, freezes. i've tried few times, , it's frozen on few different files.

hints on i'm doing wrong?

do have plugged firewire port(s)?

also, have tried booting disc on computer? don't worry booting disc, won't format until says so.
