i'm writing simple c++ programs don't require full power of xcode environment, i'm using unix make program instead. however, i'm getting strange behavior when i'm compiling. i'll run make, read error messages, edit code, re run make. however, on second running of make, no recognition of edits in code takes place. have open brand new terminal window, cd again source code directory , , recognition of source code editing take place (errors go away).
has else experienced behavior make? way, i'm using os 10.4.10 g++ compiler comes standard apple's development kits.
thanks.
no 1 huh? suppose power of xcode, nobody bothers makefiles. however, i'll turning in projects professors use linux machines, thought use paradigm. think i'll use xcode , create makefile separately.
if case nobody else has experienced problem, have idea of might causing behavior?
