imovie and photos

i'm trying compile movie using stock photos random places (but has purpose though, i'm timing audio clip, similar cowherd ones on youtube, colin cowherd), reason, every time import, gives me 5 second timer ken burns effect (i don't want burns effect, want set own time photo, inserting several times). way work out?
 

is in imovie or iphoto? can make slideshow in either. in imovie, there button under photos says "show photo settings".

in iphoto, when making slide show, click on "adjust" change slide display time , uncheck ken burns effect.

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
