1TB+ Firewire 800 external storage

i have been looking on net external harddrive 1tb or bigger firewire 800. have found 1 in particular of , wondered mac community thought of , if have suggestions.

side note: i going switcher , first mac (i have been using pcs 7 years now). going wait leopard pc died on me , need new 1 asap. have wanted mac year , have chance :cool:.

harddrive have found of 2tb western digital book pro states has firewire 800. harddrive used video storage/backup , time machine (when upgrade leopard next month :cool:).

let me know think of , if can recommend better please, go ahead!
 

**caution**

i've been in market nice external hdd while, have been reading , researching past 6 months on right set (format type, size, speed, connection (apebs [usb2.0]) or fw800, or combo).

however, 1 thing keeps popping i'm reading time machine. no 1 officially knows how allocate files. in, write partition, need own hdd, can through apebs, etc. etc.

hate (and me @ that) search search search, find want, , realize (once people can start playing time machine) can't use hdd way wanted.

heads up. these forums can amazing, search little!

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
