Noob data transfer question, please help

i'd transfer entire contents of g4 ibook g5 imac. imac running 10.4 (clean install); ibook running 10.4 well. there way load everything, including preferences, entourage history, settings, etc., making imac copy of ibook? suppose transfer piecemeal simpler if done single operation. help. :)
 

the first time turn on imac, ask if want transfer settings mac. yes, , load migration assistant, walk through steps. need firewire cable, migration assistant make imac perfect copy of ibook.

if skipped step, can access migration assistant in applications > utilities folder

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
