Mac Pro RAID5 Questions

i'd using apple's raid card in mac pro 4 drives. questions are:

1. there disadvantages using raid5 bootable volume?

2. controller failure realistic possibility, , if there controller failure turning off system , replacing raid card sufficient salvage array?

3. feasible migrate whole array different computer in future?

in advance
 

normally can raid controllers configuration. atleast thats how works on servers have administrated. using small backup file restore replacement raid controller. or move drives different system. however, not sure how works on macs card.

ps guy having problems new raid card head on , out questions?

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
