ok got macbook pro sr lcd , i've been getting these scratch imprints left keys of keyboard when close laptop lid. scratches match shape of keys , spacebar on location of contact. don't have applecare yet, don't think warranty cover if buy applecare apple replace screen me? didn't think laptop screen touch keys.   it shouldn't putting force onto screen 2 basic reasons: 1. screen above keyboard, in order leave in imprint, keyboard have overcome gravity. 2. there slight gap between keyboard , screen, it's not @ all. ever put more force onto screen when close mbp? think it's closed unevenly , put little more pressure close properly? causing imprint. also, if put on top of mbp while it's closed, chances screen being pushed down onto keyboard. can try taking in apple store, somehow doubt they'll repair this, seeing how it's user error....

so have first generation intel macbook pro , it's run little hot. has gotten hot turns off prevent major damage. covered apple?   this covered here last year when these machines new. try took mbp cd heat issues. people solved opening machines , re-applying thermal paste. in case, maybe bit off limits (if happens processors not @ 100%). give apple branch call explaining them issue, sure let know of warranty extension should exist in case not have apple care (3 years). can try increase speed of fans bit, may help. if problem persists, repair may way. hi forum members, wondering whether of people me problem experiencing apple monitor. i've had friend custom build me pc , using asus 8800 gts graphics card. monitor using old style apple 23" cinema display, , bought adc dvi adaptor - adaptor 1 lead plugs dvi input socket @ of computer, , 1 usb lead plugged usb port @ of computer also. going great first 2 weeks, monitor temporarily go blank (ie if switched off or in sleep mode) second or two. last thursday, picture go off long periods - computer assume still working, because hear windows start sound, couldn't see picture. when screen did come up, there message not recognising hardware, , screen dimmed. after jiggling around wires, , switching usb ports @ back, screen bright , situation seemed remedied. unfortunately yesterday started having same problem again after start - screen did not seem bright , half way through digitising cd in i-tunes, screen went blank again. cd kept playing...
