Time Machine and shared filesystems

i want mount non-standard filesystem via http link. it's similar webdav, involves client-side encryption. works on windows, there issues getting finder recognize on reboot. can mounted via finder->go->connect.

2 questions.

  1. how mount automatically such finder recognize it?
  2. assuming can that, should therefore work storage area time machine, or there other requirements?

if there's commonly available document covering this, feel free point me @ it.

i'm hoping haven't bitten off task of implementing complete hfs+ filesystem here.

search these forums, there have been several discussions on automatically mounting volumes.

time machine part of leopard not publicly available yet, wait until leopard released answer on that. basically: no 1 knows except developers - , ain't talking ;)
