MBP + External Plasma Problem

recently, mum bought 50" samsung q9 plasma tv , eager bring mbp house test (will 1 in future if works way want). i've found auto-detection osx not match resolution samsung tv.

osx believes native resolution of tv 1360 x 760 (or similar) while actualy resolution of tv 1366 x 768. although off little bit, theres bit of flashing spaces of colored lines on bottom edge , right edge, annoying when watching movies etc. setting resolution of tv else works fine without annoying lines/spaces (like 1024 x 768 or 1920 x 1024), not good.

got way fix this? tweak resolution bit manually, thanks.
 

my tv not show full resolution. menu bar cut off , part of dock missing when using tv external monitor.

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
