How do I get my old Firefox settings to work on new MBP?

i didn't migration assistant because wanted install fresh on mbp, there couple of applications wanted match ones on imac. firefox one.

using target disk mode copied both ~user/library/mozilla , ~user/library/application support/firefox folders imac appropriate locations on laptop. when open firefox doesn't recognize of it.

help? thanks! :)

the fix quite simple. inside firefox folder copied. inside should profiles folder, , 2 folders inside - 1 current settings , 1 old settings. copy contents of old settings folder on new settings folder (while firefox isn't running, overwriting exists in other folder). restart firefox. once done can safely delete old settings, firefox won't use them.
