Turning MBP off in sleep mode

how turn off mbp in sleep mode? hold power button until shuts off? i'm doing battery calibration thing apple's website...

4. continue keep computer on until goes sleep. save work , close applications when battery gets low, before computer goes sleep.
5. turn off computer or allow sleep 5 hours or more.
6. connect power adapter , leave connected until battery charged again.

step 4 says let computer go sleep. step 5 says turn off computer, i'm not sure how do. , if turn off, can go straight 6 or turn off computer 5 hours or more well?

seems awful long process entire thing.
 

i did it, seems worth it. held down power button. however, when started up, wasn't shut down, in "deep sleep"

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
