Nay idea on Intel tower update?

hey all,

purchase 2.66 duo intel tower today, when saw new imac released. i'm film student looking tower muscle ability upgrade (i have g4 imac won't cut video editing , can't upgraded).

have idea of apple's past upgrade trends? can't think when towers' chips upgraded... don't think long ago. indication because of imac news today towers might upgraded/changed in near future? don't mind buying , towers getting upgraded 6 months down road, don't want buy , updated in few weeks.

realize speculation, think have decent guess/idea?

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
