Apple Seeking Price Cuts on iTunes Television Episodes?

variety reports apple has been looking cutting prices on tv episodes current $1.99/episode down $.99/episode.
apple argues studios end making more money increase in volume of sales, studios haven't been convinced. 1 concern raised potential impact these prices have on dvd sales have traditionally been important source of revenue studios.
according insiders, while skeptical of plan, studios have not rejected outright, , acknowledge "library titles" of older content may make more sense @ lower price. historically, however, apple has been insistent on consistent pricing across board.

its nice thought consumers. however, won't due reasons, or might, because still making substantial profit because there no materials, little labor, etc involved. i'd have know margin of profit on both types of distribution. dvds, inserts, cases, shipping, overhead, etc don't appear, downloads easier manage. imagine. knows, i'm sure studios make more difficult is.
