When traveling with a laptop case, which way should I put my laptop into the bag?

i got done doing week of traveling, packing , unpacking laptop laptop bag. got me thinking, way better laptop up, while in laptop bag.

imagine laptop bag standing - put hinge of laptop (where keyboard , screen meet) @ top of bag - or put hinge @ bottom of bag?

vent near hinge - having vent in place breathe best spot.

think?
 

i go hinge down, doesn't matter vents thing sleeping , not producing heat.

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
