Epson EPL-5800 won't print on new IMac

hi, have got brand new imac, seem unable old epl-5800 printer work it.

have downloaded , installed drivers epson website, , recognises printer there, when asking print gets stuck saying 'waiting device', before coming 'communication error. have checked connections, , printer happily print status sheet.

have idea might problem.

i'm experiencing same problem same printer, i'm on white 24" imac leopard 10.5.1 , far can remember printer worked ok until christmas (i started 3 weeks trip then, , remember having printed kinds of maps , sheets journey). yesterday needed print , kinds of errors popped up: offline errors if use printer connected apple keyboard, or waiting device or worse postscript font errors if connect directly mac. little of fumbling managed print couple of sheets, cannot reproduce procedure (sigh), , required restarting printer after every print.
can't place error here, since printer worked fine after last update (10.5.1) , can't see other significant updates have affected printer. also, if try download 'new' drivers epson, installer says same driver on system , doesn't need go on.

on side note: toner finished (the *half* filled cartridge came printer!), , new cartridge cost me as 130 euros... new cheap laser printer less 100, i'm starting math...

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
