Am I ridiculous for wanting an iPhone??

i've had blackberry pearl 6 months, , in general, phone, have gripes iphone fix:
- media player terrible.
- calendar syncing ical terrible (my whole life in ical)
- no way remove "sent via blackberry att" signature on emails bothers me.
- email read on phone doesn't show read on computer (i know server thing, friends of mine iphones using same email (.edu) don't have same problem)
- reading internet on pages formatted cell phones huge pain.

i've played iphone , keyboard more thought would, that's not issue. 4gb model $300, it's really, tempting me buy one. i'm att customer, that's not issue (side question--i have data plan pearl; drop sim card iphone work?) feel dumb wanting buy new expensive phone after getting pearl , 1 doesn't represent huge improvement (in terms of technology...it represents improvement in user experience, sure).

think?
 

definitely not ridiculous. current prices such bargain.

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
