Advice for Brit living in France and wanting to buy in Canada

hello, have idea , hoping advice people on here possible me.

situation: live in france , use 2yr old ibook g4 (1.33 ghz, 768mb ram, 60gb hd). treat , have found totally reliable considering upgrading few reasons - 1) i'd bigger, brighter screen, 2) getting on bit , experience laptops tend start getting problems around age, 3) fancy new , have spare cash.

family live in canada. considering selling ibook on ebay uk, , buying macbook in canada when head on holidays in september.

question - legal buy goods such macbook , bring them on europe? have problems @ customs? come worldwide guarantee?

option buy refurb macbook on uk apple store. seems cheaper canada store.

buying advice!

not if pay taxes.

though of course bring new laptop in case without box, , customs none wiser, illegal.

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
