Transcode video on Mac to TiVo

the windows version of tivo desktop pro software realtime transcoding of divx/mpeg4/etc mpeg2 playback on tivo, mac version doesn't have option (they don't have pro version available, rather relying on roxio many of features). think there solution did similar 360 before supported video codecs, , i'm wondering if there similar tivo? i'm happy pay long works, haven't found me...

in case interested, there's python script apparantly windows, osx, , linux using ffmpeg, i'll giving try later week. if wants know how goes, let me know , i'll report in. tips still appreciated!

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
