Tethering Walkthru

there seems more questions rewrote walkthru more detailed

1. ok if have never done hack on phone first thing need follow directions here http://www.hacktheiphone.com/iphone_first_ten_steps_to_modding.html

2. download http://dinkdoink.com/upload/tetherkit-osx.zip

3. unzip file desktop

4. open terminal (applications utilities)

5. type following
cd desktop enter
cd tetherkit-osx enter
chmod u+x * enter

gives permission run these files in unix.

6. move jailbreak out of cd tetherkit-osx folder folder such documents, see why later.

7. change phomedmg folder made in step 1 walkthru.. typing cd , dragging phonedmg onto terminal (it automatically type link you)

8. drag jailbreak phonedmg out of folder , onto desktop.

9. drag jailbreak put in folder step 6 phonedmg folder

10. type ./jailbreak run new modified jailbreak, follow jailbreak instructions, holding 2 buttons 25 sec.

11. type cd in terminal

12. type cd desktop/tetherkit-osx in terminal, put in correct folder.

13. type ./tetherify-osx-intel.sh terminal , hit enter

14. follow on screen instructions (restart twice)

15. use nervegas writeup create systemwide proxy in os x

1. go laptop's network preferences
2. double-click airport connection bring proeprties
3. click tcp/ip tab
4. select "manually" "configure ipv4"
enter ip address: 10.3.3.1, subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
5. click 'proxies' tab.
scroll down list of proxy servers until come "socks proxy"
check checkbox, , in "socks proxy server" box right,
enter ip address of iphone: 10.3.3.2, , port number
of 1080.
6. click 'apply now' changes take effect

hope more clear if have more questions ill try answer them best can.
 

so first terminal experience putting ringones on andit took me ten tries it. looks lot more complex. how harder this?

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
