Can't get 1080p on Samsung HDTV (LE40M86)

recently got new mini go samsung full hd hdtv, model le40m86db.

connected via xtreme mac hdmi-dvi cable. max. resolution can set 1080i, or 1600x900.

tried resetting nvram, played switchresx etc, can't mini output 1080p.

annoying, had problem before?
 

your mac mini might not able put out 1080p. remember, doesn't have dedicated graphics card, has intel gma960 integrated graphics.

remember uses part of system ram video ram. so, how ram have? may need more ram.

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
