What camcorders should I buy?

a while picked sony hdr-fx1 shoot video, thinking i'd in more 'formal' situation that. it's been complete pain can't use beyond in-lab recording sessions it's far big. i've come conclusion need lot smaller, , if doubles decent still camera well, better. smaller better, i'm thinking going sdhc / ms pro duo. i'm not doing ultra-high-end, shoot hd , have decent lens, serviceable onboard mic , ~10x zoom, beyond i'm pretty flexible.

work in windows , edit in vegas. imovie '08 compatibility desirable.

second recommendation need replace parent's hdr-ux7. bought without consulting me, , understand it's not compatible imovie. ideally guess largely idiot-proof dvd camcorder great, have hd. if not, i'm thinking hard-disk recorder. i'm fuzzier on one. that's low-fuss, hd, , easy use technologically illiterate , works imovie '08.

no budget on either. i.e. long should don't care how is.

 

well, hd dvd recording hd camcorders avchd, , i'm pretty sure imovie '08 doesn't support avchd on dvds. don't me why, there's been posts already.

maybe flash recording avchd panasonic steve used demo imovie '08 with?

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
