The Ultimate Mac

hello all,

first post here on macrumors , ive been following closely on various users opinions regarding wonderful world of mac. officail guys, ive convinced parents me mac. no more windows me!!!

15 year old sophomore in high school, became apparent new computer necessary follow school curriculm ease. ive decided wait leopard first os im still having trouble deciding whether or not desktop or laptop. using mac school work (presentations, word documents, research etc.) , running computer 5-8 hours day constant usage. honest, computer go me until end of freshman year @ college. video editing , music editing , enjoy computer as can. reason ive considered notebook portabiliy factor , small size. when released new imacs glass , aluminum enclosure, how can in right mind pass up? father has decided himself 24inch imac , said should pick notebook. desktop amazing. between 13inch blackbook , 20inch 320gb hd imac. same price hard decision. , adore imacs screen, there plus.


mac users, more viable computer until end of freshman year @ college? prefer portability, willing sacrifice beautiful desktop.

p.s. mom getting me bday present (bday on 16th of november) , thinks im getting laptop, should stick notebook or go desktop.

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
