Need opinion on buying a second-hand eMac 2006

saw deal @ computer store near place yesterday, , wanted evaluate , know whether should go or not...

emac 2006 following config (which read off cd/dvd-drive's flip-open slot...)
code:
1.4 ghz g4 processor  1 gb ram  160 gb hard drive  cd-rw/dvd-rw drive
and being sold canadian $500 works out us$ 500.15 , euros 355 , uk pound 250 according google calculator...

guys think deal???

also, please suggest me way check tech specs of mac using nifty tool or something? new macs, looking cpu-z/everest can give h/w information pc...

please help...

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

How to best wire an entire house mac...(I want a touch screen in my bathroom)

so here's basic idea- have 2 floor apartment , want have total access media @ times. here thoughts on want , how i'm guess done, need advice... watching movies/divx/etc macmini plugged hdtv . mini serve primary machine in apartment. stream videos external hd bay connected airport extreme. control of machine wireless computer concealed tinted glass. itunes direct connection macmini surround receiver first floor. itunes stream airport express base stations upstairs , on terrace, including bathrooms. control of system problem prefer keep on primary machine downstairs, interested in 2 things. if wanted change music playing, don't want have go downstairs, nor want have separate machine control upstairs. investigating touch screens, or using macbook when upstairs or on terrace. there way gain control of macmini on network using different machines in house? program: http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-us/products/synchron...
