i know topic has been touched upon numerous times, info out there seems bit dated.
last read, apple supposed announce support ms exchange email around june 27 in announcement involving "exchange activesync licensing protocol." i'm not savvy enough know wtf is, can clue me in:
1) did exchange activesync licensing protocol thing happen?
2) if did, mean iphone works ms exchange mail server blackberry or other device does?
3) true way work make exchange server use imap account or way pre-exchange activesync licensing protocol?
4) above questions condense 1 question: possible use iphone on ms exchange mail system without switching imap account , if so, 1 have instruct people make work?
the short answer exchange support still available via imap. still no word on when apple add support via exchange activesync. eas provides blackberry-like push email support along ota sync calendar , contacts.
wish apple when happen. there's forum member here - dschwartz88 - claimed boss beta testing feature, think bunch of baloney. can search thread there other info in there.
