second, normal?
third, consuming hd space?

well virtual memory that, virtual memory. when os uses hard drive virtual ram. program thinks has access massive load of ram in actuality "paged" out harddrive.

if program needs 16gb of ram , have 2gb 2gb active in main ram other 14gb's written , read hard disk.
