Constant MBP Re-Starts - Pain in the a*se!

hey there

uk mbp c2d 5 months old now, , has been rock solid until recently.

machine has developed annoying habit of crashing - screen greys out , multilanguage message appears on screen advising me restart machine. has started occuring in last 3-4 weeks
odd thing when machine restarts, there pop message telling me 'superdrive not need software update'.
osx informs me there has been serious error machine, when choose submit report apple, nothing further happens.

regular issue wireless connection dropping out. wireless signal strength indicator remains @ full strength, no web pages load , adium drops out. it's resolved switching airport on , off, nevertheless, it's pain. note use netgear router works other machines

in terms of changes machine - hardware or software - things can think of are:

-- apple's optional osx updates on last couple of months
-- update firefox (i think)

has experienced similar machines? it's become frequent (now daily) may have go apple store = hell.

thanks
