i'm not quite sure how happened, here happened...
- have external usb drive hooked airport extreme base station called "airdisk"
- several weeks ago, loaded on 6,000 photos new iphoto library on external drive. (i held down option when opening iphoto , created library on "airdisk")
- religiously external drive (good boy, me!)
- checked external drive today , found no photos - iphoto library folder empty. check iphoto , still there.
hmmmm...
after doing little hunting , playing in terminal (mmmm... unix), discovered volume on internal hard drive called "airdisk-1", , entire iphoto library (17+ gb) located here.
so, heck happened? why did photos loaded on "airdisk-1" volume, did not create, rather external "airdisk" drive?
exciting stuff has happened on new-ish mbp (2.16 ghz).
thanks,
doug
what app using external hard drive, , settings (if applicable) use?
