searching small encryption utility mac allow encryption/decryption of 1 file @ time.

filevault wants take on entire home folder, according description in mac book; , way much.

had such encryption utility in windows, , think has done same mac.

in advance suggestions.
 

what people (not 1 file small handfuls) create encrypted sparse disk image using disk utility. mount , password in whenever want use it, save files "disk," , eject it. :)

if that's not acceptable, might try cryptix.

there quite few threads here on password locking individual files (which not done in os x or unix system); some, albeit not all, of suggestions may beneficial...
