Tablet over mouse?

the other day saw colleague working tablet. try couple of minutes , thought interesting thing. i'm considering buying one, i'm wondering:

- people satisfied tablet?
- how long take used it?
- how inkwell perform?
- using illustrator / photoshop , alike, or "normal" mouse?
- mouse still connected mac?
- how effort take switch between keyboard - tablet (assuming can hold pen while type)
- problems left-handed persons?

thanks!

ps: thinking of getting wacom bamboo

i have wacom intuos2 a6, pretty smallest , cheapest 1 available. drawing , photo retouching indispensable -being able vary pressure invaluable after using mouse, , direction better improved. larger 1 suits needs - i'm enthusiast , not pro.

use mouse comes it. despite having small tablet area find adequate , no longer notice it. wireless mouse too. use pen photoshop/illustrator. love eraser tool when flip pen over! small tablet size means pen can little on sensitive movement, , need steady hand.
