MacBook - DV Camera and FW400 External HD

is possible import video mini-dv camera external hard drive on macbook?

hard drive in question western digital book pro - has 2 fw800 , 1 usb b port, unfortunately 1 fw400, daisy-chaining seems out of question.

firewire hub work, or 1 port unable sustain data transfer rate required?
 

i've done dv fw400 capture without issues, although admit 2 ports.

given dv stream "only" 4mb/s (32mbit), can plug drive usb port , capture way. should (theoretically) work fine fw400 hub--there's plenty of bandwidth--and may reduce chance of dropped frames, although cause issues because of reserved bandwidth or something.

not area, , maybe else has better suggestion, i'd give usb2 shot , see if works start with.

New iMac here - LOVING the Mighty Mouse

i have mbp, , talked wife getting imac after dell (she loathed machine, made sell easy) crapped bed. when deciding on bluetooth mouse mbp, passed on mighty mouse wireles becasue of review here seemed negative. ordered corded version imac came friday. long story short, have been using mm , found quite enjoyable! in fact prefer logitech v220 im using now. found out have tendency lift left finger off botton when using normal 2 button mouse. made use of mm natural me. absolute best part of mm freaking scroll ball. orgasmic use!! l o v e mechanical smoothness , feel of ball in motion. using app steermouse able fine tune puppy perfect. on fence mm, let me assure pretty awesome, , person ultra picky point of ocd mice.   good review! imac prepared shipping, should coming in few days. i'm going using standard wired mm comes it, positive feedback on it. worried going horrible,...
