MacBook > LCD TV - Resolution issues


ok, couldn't quite figure out way word title..

basically, i'm using macbook media server through lcd tv (samsung le40r74bd) via vga (using dvi-vga converter)

i'm using displayconfigx enable macbook have resolution of 1368x768 (the same tv's).

both lcd , "samsung" displays set 1368x768.

however, when it's connected, image appears shifted left 40 or pixels on tv. there big black bar on right hand side of screen, , chunk of image missing on left.

know how 'shunt' vga image right?
 

have tried not running displays in mirrored mode? see if fix situation
