Changing icons on folder, background is not transparent


i trying change background on aliases , folders created on desktop. downloaded icons in .ico , .png format online, , able use .png format. open .png file, ctrl-c it, goto alias or folder want change icon on. "get info", click on icon @ top , ctrl-v. changes icon, puts white background behind icon. see screenshot below see talking about.

you need download mac archive , not png files directly, or need photoshopping.

once open archive in finder, click on icon want, copy it, , info thing. icon (with correct transparency mask) show up.
