External Hard Drive Woes

my external hard drive working fine last night when watching movie on when there 10 minutes left go stopped.

hard drive not appear under "my computer" more in windows xp, nor appear in disk management.

when connect mac tells me disk cannot read , have several options (initialize / eject / etc.)... shows in disk utility , tells me unformatted.

purchased drive genius , made duplicate copy of hard drive. whenever try open .dmg file, tells me image file failed mount because there no mountable file systems? mean?

if try format in disk utility input/output error.

if try format in drive genius nothing happens.

when tried scan hardware problems in drive genius of blocks scanned bad blocks.


options? .dmg image made usable?
 

mate, i'm bit lost. tell little bit more system , able you. :)

Mini-DVI to DVI-I?

New iMac here - LOVING the Mighty Mouse

i have mbp, , talked wife getting imac after dell (she loathed machine, made sell easy) crapped bed. when deciding on bluetooth mouse mbp, passed on mighty mouse wireles becasue of review here seemed negative. ordered corded version imac came friday. long story short, have been using mm , found quite enjoyable! in fact prefer logitech v220 im using now. found out have tendency lift left finger off botton when using normal 2 button mouse. made use of mm natural me. absolute best part of mm freaking scroll ball. orgasmic use!! l o v e mechanical smoothness , feel of ball in motion. using app steermouse able fine tune puppy perfect. on fence mm, let me assure pretty awesome, , person ultra picky point of ocd mice.   good review! imac prepared shipping, should coming in few days. i'm going using standard wired mm comes it, positive feedback on it. worried going horrible,...
