i have nikon d40x, 18-55mm kit lens. lens, missing telephoto. have been using old 80-200mm dad, lack of auto-focus , vr makes not likeable me. trying decide of these ones better. guess don't need focal length 70-300, have read has better optics , more sharp. so, suggest? also, nikkor 12-24mm f/4 , nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8? not planning on buying 1 of these right now, since expensive. maybe in near future i'll having 1 of these. how noticeable image quality kit lens 17-35mm? thanks,   i haven't had experiences 70-300mm vr, has received excellent reviews. own 55-200mm vr , iq excellent. real gripe vignetting @ long end. you, think comes down whether use money saved getting 55-200mm vr , whether portability factor sinc 70-300mm vr fair bit heavier , larger 55-200. if neither of these big factors you, go 70-300 due longer range, better build, , iq said little bi...

hello, i'm using ipod classic 160 gb (version: 1.0.1). after experiencing several sync process issues itunes ipod shows apple logo , nothing else anymore! tried "restore" manually recommended "hold-button method" nothing changed far. internal hard disk makes "strange" click noises , apple logo disappears moment , comes hours again. if push hold-button , forth , hold select , menu buttons on 15 seconds i'm able shutdown ipod after starting again apple logo visible. no way reactivate regular menu screen anymore. i'd appreciate kinda assistance. many in advance cheers, ralf   it sounds hard drive has failed. same thing happened ipod in may. can take store purchased or send apple.   Forums iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch ...

spotlight won't work anymore on 17" 2.33 c2d mbp. thing can think of changes since last worked newly release firmware update. i've tried sudo mdutil -e / , terminal says: error, no index found volume. else try? (i can open icon, type in it, there no signs of doing after that. nothing blocked in preferences.) finder search hangs. says "searching" , teh grey wheel spins, never showing results.
